Gerard Solà Borguño

Unique artistic sensitivity

After 30 years of artistic career as a painter, exhibiting in numerous galleries, and with a family tradition in the world of haute couture, Gerard Solà decided to focus his attention on the first collector’s item that was given to him at age of 5, a Teddy Bear.

Gerard is an artist who works tightly with tradition and elegance, that is why his Teddies are based on 19th century patterns. He has carefully studied the making of this type of collectibles.

The artist sees himself as the father of all his Teddy Bears. He creates them, gives them a soul, a personality and each one of them carries a piece of his heart. They say that the source of Gerard’s refined sensitivity is given by a completely different way of listening to his environment.
